San Diego Global Knowledge University (SDGKU) offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctorate degree programs.

Global Competency Certifications

SDGKU also offers unique proprietary global competency certificate courses that have been created using carefully designed and internationally published performance standards relevant to our current globalized environment.

Academic Programs


A unique characteristic of all SDGKU programs and courses is a Dual Curriculum Design that integrates global knowledge-learning outcomes and global competency skill development. This combination of an academic learning track with an evidence-based skill development track provides for the student a well-rounded curriculum that merges theory with practice. Students must demonstrate that they have learned the content presented in their course and at the same time validate the application of those ideas through a practical project that shows evidence of real-life results. 

Bachelor of Science in Global Management

The Bachelor of Science in Global Managememnt (BSGM) degree program is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) oriented innovative program that focuses on the emotional (E), technology (T) and knowledge (K) elements needed today and in the future to successfully manage and lead organizations in business, education, government, and civil society anywhere in the world.

The Bachelor of Science degree program consists of forty-two (42) sequential instructional courses, with a total of 126 academic units of credit. Fourteen (14) of the courses are general education courses in Mathematics, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Writing and Speech, and twenty-eight (28) major courses: thirteen (13) of which are lower division and fifteen (15) are upper division covering subjects in Global Business, Global Management, Global Systems, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. Each course contains various instructional videos, with individual exam requirements. This program is taught in on-ground, online and hybrid modalities in English and Spanish.

Master of Science in International Management

The Master of Science in International Magagement (MSIM) degree program emphasizes the human, organizational, and resource management dimensions most relevant in today's New Global Economy.

The MSIM program consists of fifteen (15) sequential courses, with a total of 45 academic units of credit. Twelve (12) of the courses are content-based and three (3) are capstone courses designed for assessment and directed research. Each course contains various instructional videos, with individual and modular exam requirements. This program is taught in on-ground, online and hybrid modalities in English and Spanish.

Master of Science in Communication and Technology

The Master of Science in Communication and Technology (MSCT) degree program emphasizes the networking, collaboration, and technology applications crucial for global competitiveness. 

The MSCT program consists of fifteen (15) sequential courses, with a total of 45 academic units of credit. Twelve (12) of the courses are content-based and three (3) are capstone courses designed for assessment and directed research. Each course contains various instructional videos, with individual and modular exam requirements. This program is taught in on-ground, online and hybrid modalities in English and Spanish.


Ph.D. in Global Systems

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Global Systems (PhdGS) focuses on developing a broad understanding of the various dimensions and components of the the global system, their dynamics, and interrelationships. Major emphasis is given to the system's approach and the methodology of organizational synchronization for further research and teaching applications. Students must propose and implement an original research project as a doctoral dissertation requirement after completing and organizational synchronization practical project.

The PhDGS degree program consists of twenty-four (24) sequential three (3) unit courses, with a total of 72 academic units of credit. Each course contains various instructional videos, with individual exam requirements. The final two courses require a dissertation committee that guides the student through the final research phase of the program. This program is taught in on-ground, online and hybrid modalities in English and Spanish.

    • Twenty-four (24) Instructional Courses (three academic units each)
    • Total Coursework: 72 units
    • Program Duration: 36 months

DBA in Global Management

The Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) in Global Management program features the most relevant global dynamics, systems strategies, and performance tools needed to compete in today's highly interconnected economy. Students must propose and implement an original research project as a doctoral dissertation requirement after completing the content courses of the curriculum and passing a comprehensive doctoral examination.

The Doctor of Business Administration degree program consists of eighteen (18) sequential courses and nine (9) semester unit's credits for dissertation, with a total of 63 academic units of credit. Twelve (12) of the courses are core content-based and six (6) are concentration courses designed for Global Management. Each course contains various instructional videos, with individual exam requirements. The final two courses require a dissertation committee that guides the student through the final research phase of the program. This program is taught in on-ground, online and hybrid modalities in English and Spanish.

Global Competency Certifications

SDGKU offers unique global competency certification non-degree courses that develop and certify skills crucial for success in our current globalized environment. A global competency is defined as a competency with global knowledge. Organizations and individuals today and in the future require these new-generation competencies because of their relevance and multiplier effect on performance and productivity. Traditional professional and technical competencies, as well as general skills, must now be complemented by higher-level skills, such as global competencies, in order to be effective in local, regional, and global environments.

Global Competency Courses

SDGKU offers the following global competency training and certification courses with workloads equivalent to ten (10) continuing education units (CEU's) or less:
