Academic Calendar

Calendar IconAll programs are offered in on-ground, online, and hybrid modalities.

Online courses are year-round, including holidays, and are offered 24/7. Although there are no “class schedules” for online courses, maximum duration periods are established for completing each SDGKU program and course.

Students must attend class on campus for the on-ground portions of the program. The 2016 Fall Semester begins August 8 and ends December 23.

Global Competency Certifications (Continuing Education Courses)

For Global Competency Certificate courses applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and must have access to an environment that allows application of the competencies to be developed.

Tuition fees for SDGKU non-degree courses are calculated on the basis of $90 USD per unit equivalent of continuing education (CEU). Registration fee is $50 USD, textbook/online materials fee is $100 USD, but there is no application fee.

Academic Programs

For Bachelor’s Degree Programs, applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent from an established school recognized by a national or regional authority.


For Master's Degree Programs, applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a relevant Undergraduate Degree from an established university recognized by a national or regional authority.


For Doctoral Degree Programs, applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a relevant Undergraduate Degree, and a Masters Degree, from an established university recognized by a national or regional authority.

Applicants to Degree programs must pay a non-refundable $40.00 Application Fee. Before your application can be processed, we must receive your payment of the $40.00 non-refundable application fee.

  • If you choose to pay by credit card, SDGKU accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payment of the application fee by credit card submits your application for processing.
  • If you decide to send your application by mail and a check is written for you by someone else, be sure your name, as well as your Applicant ID (assigned by our system during the application process) and e-mail address appear on the face of the check.
  • International applicants must remit the fee in U.S. dollars by credit card, international money order, or by a check. A check submitted from abroad must have on it the name and address of the U.S. bank through which international transactions are cleared. Cash, UNESCO coupons, international postal money orders, or Eurochecks are not accepted at SDGKU.
  • The application fee for degree programs is not refundable.

You cannot be considered for admission until you have:

1) Submitted payment of $40.00 US for the application fee; and
2) Submitted by mail or in person the required supporting documents

Tuition and Fees


Duplicate Records

SDGKU maintains a duplicate copy of all records at a location different from its main administrative location and fiscal address. This administrative redundancy is part of SDGKU’s risk management policy.


All students and graduates of SDGKU courses and programs will be able to obtain official transcripts of their academic records. Please contact us directly to submit your request.
